With an ingenious trick, small batteries fit into every device

The new electronic device or toy works batteries? Bad if you don’t have a suitable AA battery on hand. There is a solution: some aluminum foil and the smaller AAA battery do the job – at least temporarily.

For this TECH-HACK you need:
- Instead of an AA, an AAA battery
- a large piece of aluminum foil
Step 1: insert small battery
Insert the AAA battery into the battery compartment. The hack works best when the positive terminal of the battery (the side with the protruding bulge) is pushed in as far as it will go, so that only the negative terminal is not connected.
Step 2: Fold the aluminum foil up small
Fold the aluminum foil up and use it as an electrical conductor to bridge the gap between the contact and the battery.
Step 3: done
Of course, the smaller AAA battery doesn’t offer as much power as its big brother. You should therefore buy the appropriate batteries in good time. But this trick is always sufficient as a temporary solution. Have fun tinkering!
