WhatsApp is not only the most popular messenger. But as with other programs, errors do occur every now and then. WhatsApp users previously had a problem, they had to report it in a rather cumbersome manner by e-mail or letter. But that is about to change.
The WhatsApp beta version for Android with the number 2.21.7.3 contains a practical function that significantly increases the user-friendliness of the messenger. According to ” WABetaInfo “, the messenger is currently testing what is known as in-app support – an improved way of reaching support in the event of errors. So far, the function can only be used by beta testers, but interested parties can already see how it is structured.
How does the in-app support work?
WhatsApp’s in-app support is basically nothing more than a simplified way for users to contact the company. If you previously wanted to report bugs, errors or other problems with the messenger, you had to leave the app and contact us by email. In addition to notification by letter or fax, WhatsApp has so far only allowed contact via the email address support@whatsapp.com. There is no hotline or the ability to send the company a WhatsApp message itself – at least so far.

In the past, many users complained that they only received a standardized response to their email request. In addition, they found the contact route generally too cumbersome and comparatively backward. The company now appears to be responding to precisely these complaints. WhatsApp users should be able to reach support directly from the app in the future. When the update is rolled out, the normal chat function will in future make it possible to describe the problem directly with useful information such as details on the smartphone that can help solve the problem. In the chat, users should also be able to contact WhatsApp employees directly. The conversation is encrypted and will be deleted immediately after the problem has been resolved.
When will the new WhatsApp support function appear?
After the development of the function was announced in October, the beta tests are now finally following. If you are a beta tester, the in-app support is already available to you. All others have to wait until the official rollout, which should take place in the next few weeks.
