In 2014, Facebook paid a full 14 billion euros for the WhatsApp messenger service. That was the largest takeover in digital communication to date. But how does such an enormous expense pay off? Status message “Commitment to privacy”
According to a report from ” The Verge “, the messenger is currently using the WhatsApp status to draw attention to the “obligation of privacy”. This is where users typically share content they’d like to share with friends. In addition to status messages from friends, there are currently notifications from WhatsApp. The company refers to its data protection and also mentions end-to-end encryption, to make it clear once again that the company does not read any messages.
