OnePlus now also offers a smartwatch suitable for its smartphones. The smart watch called OnePlus Watch comes with its own system and special fitness functions.
The OnePlus Watch is compatible with many smartphones, but is best complemented with the manufacturer’s smartphones. The stainless steel case is round and comes with curved 2.5D glass. 50 different clock faces are available at the beginning, but users can also create their own designs. For the global launch of the watch, OnePlus is only offering a larger version with a diameter of 46 millimeters; a smaller format – for example for the rather narrow wrists of women – has not yet been planned.

OnePlus Watch with its own system and focus on fitness
OnePlus uses the so-called RTOS system (Real-Time Operating System) for its watch, which is an in-house development. At the start, the app selection is limited, but should be expanded step by step. OnePlus has not yet revealed which apps are supported in detail. The smartwatch has 4 GB of internal memory (2 GB for actual use), supports GPS and is protected against dust and water according to IP68 and 5 ATM. Calls received on the smartphone can be accepted directly via the OnePlus Watch. The watch also provides notifications and can even be used as a remote control for the OnePlus TV if desired.
The main focus is on the fitness functions. For example, the OnePlus Watch has sensors for measuring heart rate and blood oxygen. Users can also monitor their personal performance with metrics such as heart rate, distance, calories, speed monitoring and SWOLF efficiency for swimmers. According to the manufacturer, the OnePlus Watch recognizes a total of 110 different training modes. The functions are bundled and managed in the OnePlus Health app.
OnePlus specifies the runtime of the 402 mAh battery as up to two weeks. However, this value will hardly be achievable in everyday life – at least not if important functions such as GPS and the Bluetooth connection are to be permanently active. Rather, with a little luck, active users can get a term of just under a week. The battery can be charged via WarpCharge.
