Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping events worldwide. Originally introduced in America, retailers in Germany are now also celebrating the bargain days with offers and discounts. Some are even particularly early on. For example, Amazon already offers the early Black Friday deals. But are they also worthwhile? TECHNOLOGY BUTTON did the check.

Black Friday traditionally takes place on the Friday after Thanksgiving every year. This year it falls on November 27, 2020. But the hunt for the bargains begins the week before at many retailers such as Amazon, Media Markt / Saturn, Cyberport and Notebooksbilliger. In addition to Black Friday, Black Friday week, which this year begins on November 23, 2020, was created. The shopping days are closed on Cyber Monday, the Monday after Black Friday.

With its early Black Friday offers, Amazon promises huge discounts on thousands of items that change daily. In addition to technology deals, buyers will also find promotions from the toy, kitchen and household sectors. In contrast to Prime Day, those customers who do not have a Prime membership can also benefit from the Amazon Deals. However, Prime customers have 30 minutes early access to the lightning offers, which can be sold out quickly under certain circumstances.

Grundig cooperates with Amazon and offers the Grundig 43 GFW 6060, a television with an integrated Fire TV. This gives users direct access to streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Dazn and more, some of which even have their own button on the supplied remote control. Thanks to the Alexa integration, various skills can be used with the Grundig Fire TV Edition television and apps can be installed. The 43-inch smart TV has a full HD resolution and comes with a triple tuner. Among other things, it has three HDMI inputs, two USB ports, a CI + slot as well as an antenna and Ethernet connection. The sound is reproduced via integrated 28-watt loudspeakers with Magic Fidelity, a sound algorithm developed by Grundig. Despite these adjustments, users shouldn’t expect too much from the sound – the TV is simply too small for that. It is therefore advisable to connect a soundbar.

With a price of 219 euros, the Grundig Vision 6 is a very affordable smart TV. Apart from the early Black Friday promotions, it costs regularly from 270 euros.

Can’t decide between tablet and smart speaker? No problem, because the Lenovo Smart Tab M10 Plus is both in one. With its full HD display and stereo speakers, the tablet is ideal for watching a series on the sofa. But it can also simply be plugged into the docking station and then becomes a smart speaker. This works extremely well thanks to far-field microphones and larger speakers in the station as well as Amazon Alexa integration. You can use it to play music and videos or control your smart home simply by voice command. The Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless are over-ear headphones with noise canceling. Sockets that can be controlled by smartphone or voice assistant are a practical extension for the smart home. You can connect standby devices to it, for example, and thus prevent them from drawing power when not in use. The smart WLAN sockets from TP-Link work with Amazon’s Alexa and the Google Assistant. The plugs can be connected to other smart devices such as a mobile light switch and a motion sensor in order to switch the electricity on and off for an entire room.

Amazon extends return deadline

If you have clicked the order button too quickly in the heat of the moment or if the bargain turned out to be the right one, you currently have longer time to return the products.
