Pay attention to the following information when purchasing

Among the cell phone manufacturers, it is mainly Nokia that is reviving old models. Many of the resurrected classics can now also transmit via LTE. Finding cell phones completely without internet capability is therefore not that easy. When buying, you should make sure that the device only supports 2G or GSM. If, on the other hand, information such as 3G and 4G, HSPA or similar can be found on the data sheet, the cell phones can be accessed via mobile devices.

Cell phones without internet usually have the look of the late 90s or early 2000s. This means that they either have the shape of a bar or come as a clamshell phone. They are mostly operated using buttons, which is why the devices are now often marketed as senior mobile phones. The devices are therefore not stale or technically inferior. So it’s worth taking a look at this section if you are looking for a cell phone without the Internet.

Manufacturers who offer cell phones without internet include Nokia, Samsung, Olympia and Panasonic. In our selection, we only selected models that did not come onto the market before 2019 and are therefore still relatively current.

Panasonic KX-TU400 for around 40 euros

The KX-TU400 from Panasonic is a clamshell phone that is available in three modern colors: wine red, mint and light gray. It was launched in 2020, making it one of the newer models. Suitable for a mobile phone without internet, it only transmits via 2G and thus allows you to make calls and send SMS, but not to surf the web. It is operated via illuminated buttons, and the Panasonic mobile phone has a 2.4-inch TFT display. The device even supports Bluetooth. The manufacturer states a runtime of up to 18 days in standby.

Nokia 105 (2019) for around 20 euros

The 2019 version of the Nokia 105 is particularly cheap. The classic bar mobile phone comes in bright colors such as blue and pink, but also in black and is limited to the most important functions for a mobile phone without internet. There is a 1.8 inch color display under which the buttons for operation are located. The 800 mAh battery is replaceable and should allow a standby time of up to 30 days and a talk time of up to 15 hours. According to the information, this makes the Nokia the most enduring model in this overview. Nokia 105 owners can also use the jack socket to connect headphones and listen to music on the go via the FM radio.

Olympia Style View for around 40 euros

The Olympia Style View is a flip phone with dual SIM functionality, which also has a color display. The screen measures 2.4 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Thanks to the quad-core processor, users can navigate through the menu very quickly, and a slot for a micro SD card allows the memory to be expanded by up to 32 GB. Like the Nokia 105, the Olympia mobile phone has a replaceable 800 mAh battery, but the talk time is less than four hours and the standby time is less than five days. The scope of delivery of the Olympia Style View includes a charging station in which the cell phone can be plugged in to charge the battery. Unlike the KX-TU400 from Panasonic, it also comes with an external display, on which, for example, the time can be read without opening the cell phone.

Caterpillar B26 for around 55 euros

Anyone looking for a cell phone without internet that should be able to withstand a little more should take a closer look at the Caterpillar B26. The data sheet has a lot to offer for relatively little money. The 1500 mAh battery not only has almost twice as high a capacity as the batteries of the devices mentioned above. Like her, it is interchangeable. The Caterpillar comes in bar form, so it cannot be folded. It is protected against water, drops, vibrations and high humidity in accordance with IP68 and MIL-STD 810G. An FM radio is on board as well as a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth support and dual SIM. The device, which came on the market in 2019, also has a color display with a diagonal of 2.4 inches.

Wiko Riff 3 Plus for about 18 euros

The French manufacturer Wiko also has a mobile phone without internet in its range, which, with its very low price, is also suitable as a replacement phone, to take with you to the campsite or for the festival. If it gets lost, the price is affordable. It is equipped with the standard fare of this category: a 2.4-inch color display with input keys underneath, an FM radio and a VGA camera as well as a replaceable battery. The latter, however, has a slightly higher capacity than the norm. The battery holds 1000 mAh.
